Sally Bentley

Counsellor

I’m a qualified counsellor supporting adults through loss, bereavement, and life transitions. I understand that life’s challenges can sometimes leave us feeling alone, unheard, or disconnected from ourselves. I offer a warm, compassionate, and safe space where you can bring what matters to you, take things at your own pace, and feel genuinely listened to and supported.

I bring a warm, compassionate, and authentic presence to my work. Just as nature has its seasons, our lives also move through times of growth, loss, change, and renewal. There are moments when we feel rooted and resilient, and others when we feel adrift, uncertain, or weathered by life’s experiences. Whatever season you find yourself in, you don’t have to face it alone.

I offer a calm, accepting, and non-judgemental space where you can slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. Together, we can gently explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, making sense of what has brought you here. My hope is that, through being truly heard and understood, you can begin to find greater clarity, self-compassion, and confidence in your own path.

I have a particular interest in supporting adults experiencing grief, bereavement, trauma, and life’s many transitions, including:

  • Loss and bereavement
  • Miscarriage, infertility, and pregnancy loss
  • Living with illness or a life-limiting condition
  • Relationship difficulties and healthy boundaries
  • Career change and work-related challenges
  • Changes in identity and life transitions
  • Self-esteem and self-confidence

Alongside my private practice, I work as a counsellor within a hospice, supporting people living with life-limiting conditions and those experiencing loss and bereavement. I have also worked within third-sector organisations supporting people with anxiety, depression, and work-related challenges and I have volunteered with Cruse Bereavement Support.

My own experiences have taught me that healing unfolds in its own time. I believe that, like anything that grows, it needs patience, care, and the right environment. My role is to offer a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your experiences and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
