Counselling & Psychotherapy

You may be here on this site with a specific name or label for what’s troubling you: for example trauma or anxiety, or perhaps you don’t and instead have a feeling that something just isn’t right. Any and all of this is understandable and it’s perfectly normal.

Labels and names are useful to a point: they are a ‘way in’ if you like. Gently unravelling what this label means for you and your unique experience of being in the world can help you to soften and maybe change your relationship to the feelings you’re experiencing. This is the work of therapy.

Please spend some time looking through our therapists to find a good fit for you

  • Ann Lowe

    Ann Lowe

Hello, I'm Ann, an eco therapist and writer. I believe the world needs more gentleness.Drawing on nature-based practices, reflective writing, and dreamwork, I can help you untangle old stories, reconnect with lost parts of yourself, and discover ways of living that feel more meaningful and true. Alongside this, I hold space for the deeper wisdom and mystery that can reveal itself when we learn to listen more closely to ourselves, to one another, and to the natural world.

At The Wellspring and Yew, our experienced therapists provide compassionate guidance, helping you understand yourself better and find your own path forward.

What to Expect

Counselling sessions are tailored to your unique needs. We offer a variety of approaches and formats, including individual, couples, family, and group sessions. You can choose to meet face-to-face in our tranquil Nantwich centre, or connect with your therapist online or over the phone.

During your sessions, you’ll collaborate with your therapist to:

  • Gain insight: Explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in a non-judgmental environment.
  • Develop coping strategies: Learn effective tools to manage challenges and navigate difficult situations.
  • Unlock your potential: Discover inner strength and resilience to create positive change in your life.

Your Therapist’s Role

Our therapists are trained to listen with empathy and without judgment. They won’t offer advice or tell you what to do. Instead, they’ll help you uncover your own solutions and empower you to make choices that align with your values and goals.
