Hello, my name is Sally, and I’m a person-centred counsellor who is passionate about helping others on their healing journey. I offer warmth, empathy, and a safe space to be supported without judgement to explore what feels important to you. Finding the right person with whom you feel a connection is essential to the therapeutic relationship. I adapt our work to meet each individual’s needs and we work at your own pace. My own experiences have shaped my compassion for others and strengthened my belief in trusting clients as they explore their unique paths towards healing, change and growth.
Throughout my career, I have always worked with people in 3rd sector organisations supporting with anxiety, depression and work related issues and for charities such as Cruse Bereavement. Currently, I work at a local hospice providing comfort and emotional support to patients and their families in palliative care.
My specialism is loss and bereavement and working with adults and families who are adjusting to life changes or limiting illnesses and the complex family dynamics and relationship difficulties that can arise with this change and uncertainty.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and have completed a Master of Science in Counselling and Psychotherapy with my research focused on how our ‘identity’ can shape our relationships and self concept.
